Kitsune are rare and powerful magical beings, closely related to spirits and demons. Kitsune find their origin in ancient Japanese mythology and the word Kitsune is Japanese for fox. They are shapeshifters and illusion casters that often appear in the form of a fox, though their true form is that of a human. They are intelligent and powerful beings that can be either good or evil as they desire.

Kitsune live in small clans consisting of family members, they are close with their family but possess a strong desire to be independent, so they often make journeys on their own. They are curious beings that often explore and are fond of mysteries. They are mischievous in nature and skilled tricksters. Kituse also like to make deals, and are honor-bound to keep them. However, they easily confuse others with their lies so catious is needed when striking a deal with them.


Good KitsuneEdit

Good Kitsune offer wisdom and guidence to those that need it. They protect the innocent and can read the hopes of dreams of beings and ward off evil. They like to offer guidence when others are facing challenges, but will often ask for a small reward before helping. Despite being good, they are still tricksters, however, their tricks are often harmless and for amusement.

Evil KitsuneEdit

Evil Kitsune are more malevolant and deceitful and perform more cruel tricks. They like to trick other beings. They can also read the fears of beings and use them for manipulation. They will assist others when asked for help, but they will demand a high price that none are willing to pay. They do not physically kill themselves, but will often play dangerous mindgames that can lead to death.

Active Powers
  • Shapeshifting: The ability to change one's physical form. Kitsune can change into any form they desire, both human and animal, but prefer the shape of a fox.
  • Hope and Fear Reading: The ability to read the hopes and fears of other beings.
  • Illusion Casting: The ability to create life-like illusions that can trick all senses except touch. Kitsune use this power to play tricks and act on the hopes and fears of others.
  • Invisibility: The ability to become unseen by the naked eye. As an extention from their illusions, Kitsune can hide their presence from others.
  • Levitation: The ability to defy gravity and rise up in the air.
  • Smoke-Fading: The ability to teleport through a combination of smoke and light.

Other Powers

  • Agility: The ability to enhance one's reflexes and agility to improve one's skill in fighting and avoiding injuries. Combined with levitation, this makes Kitsune skilled and agile fighters.
  • Sensing: The ability to magically locate other magical beings and innocents.
  • High Resistance: The ability to be resistant to otherwise lethal magical attacks.
  • Regeneration: The ability to quickly heal and recover from sustained injuries. Kitsune heal much faster than average, though not instantly.
  • Immunity: The ability to be immune to certain powers and forms of magic. Kitsue are powerful beings that are immune to most spells and potions, as well as psychic and molecular powers.
  • Immortality: The ability to possses an infinite lifespan and an arrested aging process. Kitsune can potentially live forever unless they are vanquished.


Kitsune are powerful and intelligent magical beings, though they are not without weaknesses. They are vulnerable to silver weapons, which can be deadly to them. However, vanquishing a Kitsune is difficult as they will often trick their opponents and avoid battle when they can. Truly powerful beings can also vanquish them with a spell or magical power.
